I am an Arizona native, born in Tucson, Arizona. At the age of seven my parents moved our family to Vail. I attended Vail schools and knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher someday.
I graduated from The University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Go Cats! As the end of my college career drew near, I was placed at a Vail school to complete my student teaching. I was then fortunate enough to be offered a position teaching kindergarten. I taught kindergarten for four years and first grade for two years. Last year, I made the move to Copper Ridge and began teaching fourth grade. I am happy to be a member of the Copper Ridge family and have loved the transition to fourth grade! At Copper Ridge, I sponsor the Copper County Bank, the BeKind Club and tutor fourth grade students. I am also a member of the Copper Ridge Site Council.
My husband and I live in Vail. In June, my husband and I welcomed our first child. We are overjoyed and love being parents to our new baby boy. Some of my favorite things to do are spending time with family, cooking, traveling and talking our dog for walks.
Teaching and seeing students learn and grow is my passion. I strive to create a positive learning environment where every child feels comfortable and develops the same love of learning that I did.
