My name is Christine Leach and I am so excited to be teaching the 2nd grade at Copper Ridge! I have been teaching with the Vail School District for 17 years! I can’t believe it has been that long! It has been fun to see the Vail School District grow and be a part of the Vail Community!
I was born and raised in Idaho on a potato farm. I loved growing up in the country and enjoyed the farm life. It taught me to be a hard worker and the importance of being a team player. After getting married, I moved to Tucson in 1993 with my husband David. We have 3 amazing children; Madison 21, Austin 13, and Parker who is 10. We lived in Rita Ranch for 10 years before moving out to Corona De Tucson. We love it out here and enjoy the small, home town feeling of Corona.
I love being a teacher and it is my philosophy that children should have fun while learning. One of my favorite quotes is, “A child may not remember everything you taught them, but they will always remember how they were treated.” I can still remember how my first grade teacher treated me and her kindness inspired me to become a teacher!
