5th Grade Teacher
Christina Holbrook

Greetings! I am ecstatic and proud to be a part of the Copper Ridge Team this new school year. During my twenty-two years of teaching, I’ve taught in various grades that include Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.  My passion for teaching is rooted in my ability to be creative with my teaching approach in order to reach all learning styles. I pride myself in developing lessons that stimulate initiative and curiosity. I myself am a kid at heart, and a life-long learner.  Through all of my various experiences, the opportunity to make connections with children continues to serve as my motivation to work in the field of education.

I was born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, California. This city gave me a diverse view of families and cultures around the world; therefore, promoting my love of travel. I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education and California Teaching Credential from the University of La Verne.  When not teaching, I stay active with my husband Dean (a Tucson native) and four children. My passion extends to hiking, gardening, reading, and painting.

My goal as a teacher is to provide an environment that fosters a love for learning while motivating children to excel in a positive, safe and challenging environment.  I try to instill social-emotional skills that strengthen responsibility and confidence.  Moreover, I try to forge a solid partnership with parents and colleagues so that as a community we can inspire optimal student performance.  I look forward to a new adventure with the Copper Ridge Family this year.
