I was born in Tucson and lived here until I was 14 years old. Being apart of a military family, we transferred to Crestview, Florida. I graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 2009. I taught full day Kindergarten in Florida for four years. After getting married, we moved to Tucson for my husbands job. My husband and I have a 3 year old little man, Vance. After moving back to Tucson, I taught Kindergarten at Sycamore Elementary School for three years.
I was blessed to be apart of opening Copper Ridge in 2016 where I continued teaching Kindergarten. This is now my 10th year of teaching and my second year of teaching First Grade! Copper Ridge has such great staff and families and I am so lucky to be apart of the Vail community!
Ever since I was in Kindergarten I knew I wanted to be a teacher. The most rewarding feeling is when I see a “lightbulb moment” occur and a child’s face light up with excitement after they have grasped a concept. I absolutely love children and my students know that they always have someone who believes in them!
