Angie DeMarco

I am so exited to be one of Copper Ridge’s Inclusion Specialist and the Behavior Specialist. I have been teaching in the Vail School District for twenty-two years. I have been at Copper Ridge for the past two years and am looking forward supporting our students’ educational, emotional and social needs on campus.

I have lived in Tucson nearly my whole life. I attended Sabino High School and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1996. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Health Related Sciences for K-12 Physical Education and with a Minor in Special Education and Rehabilitation. I then began teaching in the Vail School District at the elementary school level. I went on to complete an additional teaching certificate in Severe and Profound Special Education from the University of Arizona. I have a sixteen-year-old daughter who attends Empire High School. I enjoy spending my spare time with my daughter and my family. When not at school I like to travel and go camping.

My goal as a teacher is to provide safe, nurturing classroom environment for all my students.  I look forward helping my students to reach their academic, social and emotional goals throughout the school year. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be part of your children’s lives.
