Cori Brockman

Hello Families! I have lived in the Vail area for past 11 years. I am married to my wonderful husband and we have a beautiful daughter, Aubrey (8) and a new puppy who we named, Josie. I grew up in Illinois and attended Blackburn College where I received my Bachelors of Elementary Education. I then completed my graduate work from NAU and received my Masters in Educational Leadership. I have spent most of my professional career teaching in the primary grade levels with ten years spent in Kindergarten. This will be my third year at Copper Ridge in a fourth grade classroom.  I love the work I do and get great satisfaction in watching my students grow.

While at Copper Ridge, I have had the opportunity to be on the leadership team. This allows me to grow not only as educator but also as a leader. I am also a Cognitive and Math Coach, who helps to assist new teachers into the transition of our state standards and implementing our best teaching practices into their classroom.  In addition to leadership, I am the advisor for the club, Rusty’s Rangers, as well as co-sponsoring our National Junior Honor Society. I am also a member of our school’s Student Solutions Team.

Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family and enjoying the outdoors. Some of my favorite outdoor activities include going for walks, biking and watching a baseball game. One of my favorite hobbies includes baking, especially cookies. I love having my daughter in the kitchen with me and teaching her the fun she can have with cooking.
